Anthropic ships a Compliance API for Claude with 28 security partners

AI · · · source (claude.com)

Anthropic released a Compliance API for Claude Enterprise that gives security teams programmatic access to conversation content (chats, uploaded files, projects) and activity events (logins, admin actions, configuration changes). It is the kind of plumbing enterprises usually demand before they can ship an AI tool past their legal team, and the launch lands with 28 named integration partners.

The partner list is what tells you what the API is for. It spans data loss prevention and SASE (Cloudflare, Forcepoint, Netskope, Zscaler), endpoint and SIEM (CrowdStrike, Datadog, Sumo Logic), data security and posture management (Cyera, Rubrik, Varonis, Wiz), identity (Okta, SailPoint), AI observability (Geordie AI), and eDiscovery and supervision (Relativity, Smarsh, Theta Lake). Microsoft Purview, IBM Guardium, Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoint, Tenable, and Trellix round out the set. The pitch is that a Claude deployment now feeds the same dashboards and alerting workflows a regulated company already uses for everything else.

Anthropic does not detail rate limits, retention, or pricing in the post and points to its help center for the API specifics. That is a small note but worth keeping in mind: this announcement is about removing a procurement blocker, not opening a self-serve platform feature.

Why it matters

If your company already vetoed a Claude rollout because it could not see what employees were doing inside the product, the answer is now an integration ticket rather than a policy fight. Read the actual Compliance API docs before you commit, because the tier scope is Enterprise and the marketing post is thin on limits.
